This fine Christian religious wood carved statue is a masterpiece. All of our Madonna and Child statues are hand carved in the Facouseh carving shop on Manger Street in Bethlehem, just a few minutes walk from the site where the Lord Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. This large statue of the Virgin Mary holding Baby Jesus is carved from prunings of Holy Land olive trees. This practice preserves the life of these sometimes centuries old trees and provides us with a renewable natural resource for our statues.
