This deluxe Roman Byzantine Crucifix is made in Bethlehem from Holy Land olive wood and overlaid with abalone. This unique luxurious Crucifix has an insert on each arm of the Cross containing articles from the Holy Land (Clockwise from top of Crucifix) olive leaves, stones, soil and incense. The Roman Byzantine Crucifix is very rich in symbolism. It is also called the Fouteen Stations Crucifix as it is made from fourteen pieces of olive wood to represent the 14 stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) and the 14 stations of the Cross are stamped on the back of the Crucifix. Each arm of the Crucifix is made from 3 pieces of olive wood to represent the Holy Trinity.
