This fine Catholic gift is hand carved in the Olivart workshop on Manger Street in Bethlehem, not far from the site where the Virgin Mary gave birth to the Lord Jesus. This lovely Catholic statue is hand carved from one select piece of naturally beautiful Holy Land olive wood and situated on an octagonal base. Each of these large olive wood Virgin Mary statues are unique with each piece of Holy Land olive wood having its own beautiful charateristics and with each statue carved by hand. The polyurethane finish on this lovely wooden religious statue protects the statue and gives a lovely lustre to the naturally beautiful olive wood. The Holy Land olive wood used to carve this large Virgin Mary statue is from prunings and no Holy land olive trees are destroyed in this process.
