About this Joshua and Caleb Wooden Statue 8 Inches Tall
Our wood-carved Christian statue of Joshua and Caleb (as the spies commissioned by Moses to spy out the Promised Land) is a very elegant, unique carved wood religious statue made in the Holy Land. The olive wood statues are situated on a base that is sculpted from the lovely olivewood to resemble the rough terrain of the Holy Land. The scripture says that the spies cut down a cluster of grapes and some of the produce of the Holy Land and carried it between two of the Promised land spies on a pole. Our Bethlehem carvers illustrate this beautifully while sculpting in fine life-like detail the wooden statues of Joshua and Caleb. The workshop of our dear friend Jeries Facouseh, where this statue of the Promised Land spies is carved, is on Manger Street in Bethlehem, just a 10 minute walk to the site where the Lord Jesus was born. The Joshua and Caleb statue is carved from Holy Land olive wood grown in the Galilee region and taken from prunings of Holy Land olive trees.
