This magnificent 11 inch wall crucifix has so many wonderful features. First, let's start with its origin, the wood used is genuine olive wood sourced directly from sustainably grown olive wood trees not far from the town of Bethlehem.
The wood is transformed into this stunning devotional by Catholic artisans Hani and Johnny Handal in their Bethlehem woodworking shop a short walk from where Christ was born. Each crucifix is loving handmade.
The design of the cross is in the Roman Byzantine influence, each of the cross tips is actually 3 pieces of wood to reflect the Holy Trinity. The entire cross is made of 14 pieces of wood to reflect the 14 stations of the cross.
A classic corpus with INRI plaque is secured onto the cross. The corpus is cast of metal and has intricate features.
