About this Large 4 Foot Standing Contemporary Byzantine Crucifix with Relics
Made in biblical Bethlehem by Christian artisan Jeries Facouseh and a true masterpiece, this large 4 foot 2 inch tall standing Byzantine Crucifix is made from Holy Land (Israel) olive wood and mahogany. The Corpus and INRI are hand carved in meticulous detail and the cross features a unique contemporary backdrop.
RELICS: The cross is approximately 1.75 inches thick and features 3 inset glass containers with Holy Land articles (sometimes referred to as relics, but not ancient relics). They are (clockwise from left) frankincense, olive leaves and soil. These articles (relics) sometimes vary.
BASE: The base is 13 inches x 13 inches.
STYLE: This style of Crucifix sometimes is called Roman, Roman Byzantine, budded and a 14 Stations Crucifix. The olive wood carving shop of Christian artisan Jeries Facouseh is just a few minutes walk from the site where Christ our Lord was born in biblical Bethlehem.
FREE STANDING: The wall crucifix is 50 inches tall, weight approximately 100 pounds and sits securely in a wooden block base. This allows the cross with base to be moved from location to location when needed.
