This lovely statue is the work of Catholic statue carver Jeries Facouseh of Manger Street in Bethlehem, just a few minutes walk from the site where the Lord Jesus was born. Jeries is world renowned for his beautiful Catholic religious wood carvings and only uses olive wood from prunings of Holy Land olive trees, providing us with a renewable natural resource.
