About this Large 4 Foot Standing Classic Byzantine Crucifix with Relics
Made in biblical Bethlehem from Holy Land olive wood and mahogany, this large 4 foot 2 inch tall standing Byzantine Crucifix is a true masterpiece. It is hand carved just a few minutes walk from the site where Christ our Lord was born in the olive wood carving shop of Christian artisan Jeries Facouseh.
BASE: The cross is approximately 1.75 inches thick and the base is 13 inches x 13 inches. This large standing Byzantine Crucifix is meticulous in detail and a work of art.
RELICS: The relics in the 3 inset glass containers on this large Crucifix are not ancient relics. They are Holy Land articles. (Clockwise from left: Holy Land frankincense, olive leaves and soil. These articles sometimes vary.)
STYLE: This style of Crucifix goes by many names including Roman, Roman Byzantine, budded and a 14 Stations Crucifix.
FREE STANDING: The total height with base is 50 inches tall, weight approximately 100 pounds and sits securely in a wooden block base. This allows the cross and base to be moved from location to location when needed.
